The Curtain Rising: Staged Readings of New Works is the result of our outreach to playwrights for short one-act plays around the framework of Self-Identity vs. Conformity.  The six plays chosen have views into how we are pulled to conform in our lives and how we deal with these conflicts.  The playwrights will be present; there will be audience feedback at the end of the evening.  The playwright are literally coming from all over the country.
